Bandits fans here is your starting lineup for the 2020 season!

Aaron Summers (C)
Coty Garcia
Jye Etheridge
Dany Gappmaier
Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen
Kyle Bickley
Leon Flint

Team manager Gary Flint and co-owner/promoter Jamie Courtney have assembled a side that continues with the spirit and ethos of 2019 whilst bringing in the dynamic of two of TeamGB’s brightest young stars in the reserve berth with newcomer Kyle Bickley joining Berwick’s Leon Flint!

The ultra professional Dane returns for his fourth stint as a Berwick Bandit and ‘Busk’ is determined to establish himself as a number one rider in the SGB Championship division.

Nikolaj‘s technique gives him no trouble on some of the trickier away tracks and in turn, helps the Bandits become a legitimate threat on those tracks that we were less than competetive for a large number of years.

Nikolaj has owned the number 5 race jacket at Berwick and if his fitness and preparation meet his talent, we could witness a memorable season for Nikolaj ‘Busk’ Jakobsen!

Kyle Bickley enters his debut season as a Bandit with nothing but impressive credentials.

A League winner in 2018 with hometown club Workington, a runner up with Glasgow in 2019,an established Heat Leader in the National League and a TeamGB Under 21 career that is blossoming as we speak.

The 18 year old Cumbrian joins fellow Under 21 star and Belle Vue Colts team mate Leon Flint in the Bandits reserve berth for the 2020 season and any true fan of British Speedway can only be excited to see not one, but two talented TeamGB teenagers in the same team, making their way in the sport together.

Welcome to Berwick Speedway Kyle!

Fernando ‘Coty’ Garcia arrived on these shores six years ago and the talented Argentinian was quickly snapped up by
the Bandits promotion.

‘Coty’ brings a lot to the engine room of the side and he will be looking towards achieving
consistency in 2020 and upping his starting average which does not justify just how brilliant ‘Coty’ can
be when he clicks.

Garcia fears no man and no track and a Bandits team place two years in a row could
be just the tonic to help ‘Coty’ reach his full potential in 2020!

Dany Gappmaier enters his fifth season as a Bandit in 2020 and only his fifth season
as a pro Speedway rider!

‘Dany Gapp’ has served his apprenticeship in Bandit country and although he is still relatively
inexperienced, the talented Austrian is eager to establish himself as a legitimate heat leader in 2020.

If there was ever a Grand Prix at Berwick you bet the
house on Dany Gapp each way!

Away form and experience on the ‘tricky’ UK tracks has been challenging for Dany but he has pulled
off rides from the gods at Shielfield Park and we look forward to seeing him take it one step further in 2020!

Gary Flint said: "We can’t deny the fact that injuries halted our 2019 playoff progress and we still came so close in the end. The team spirit was phenomenal again last season and that is a dynamic we want to keep.
The signing of Kyle really excites all of us and the partnership of Leon and Kyle at reserve really does give the side a feeling of progression.

"Aaron will step up as team captain and if truth be told he has been a great captain at most of his previous clubs and he done a great job of backing kev up over the last couple of seasons. Now it’s Aaron’s opportunity to lead our boys on track and I’m delighted to see him in that role.

"With the news of Kevin taking a step aside from committing to league racing in 2020 it’s been massively important that he stays involved behind the scenes and we are really happy that he will still be here in the pits assisting myself and Aaron in getting the very best out of everyone on and off the track."
