Following news a couple of weeks ago they he and his brother Scott had put the Bandits up for sale, Jamie's commitment to the cause has come as welcome relief to the supporters who have gone through a worrying fortnight.

In their short period at the helm Scott and Jamie have overseen improvements both on and off track which have quickly earned them a sport-wide reputation as shrewd and innovative promoters.

​It was an emotional rollercoaster at Berwick Speedway's end of season event at the Ord House Country Park on Saturday night with the traditional fun and games boosted by the fine team-spirit that typifies what Berwick Speedway is all about led by the
Courtney brothers, Gary Flint and Dennis McCleary, but it was David Howe's soliloquy that hushed the large assembled crowd.

On Saturday the 20th of October at 7pm, Berwick Bandits Speedway Club will be throwing the party of the year at Ord House Country Park!

Bandits aim to go out of 2018 with a bang as a superb line up is revealed

Let's face it, 2018 has been a fantastic season for the Berwick "KLS" Bandits (Powered by Mike Hope of Wooler), and yes they missed the play-offs by one point, but they finished their league campaign six excellent places higher than most of the expert speedway pundits placed them before a wheel was turned, proving that the Courtney-promotion know their stuff, letting the Border fans rest in the knowledge their club is in safe hands.
